Chocolate Surprise Cake

12 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 pkg chocolate cake mix (18.25 oz pkg)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate mini-morsels
Heat oven to 350. Butter and flour a 12-cup Bundt pan.
In a small mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; beat until blended and set aside.
Prepare cake mix as directed; fold in chocolate morsels. Pour chocolate batter into prepared pan; evenly cover with cream cheese mixture. Bake until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 25 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely. Dust with confectioners sugar. Serve with whipped cream and raspberries, if desired.
