Molasses Squares


candies

1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or butter substitute
1/3 cup molasses
1/3 cup water
1 few grains salt

Combine ingredients and boil to soft crack stage (275 ~ 280 F). Pour into well-buttered, shallow pan. Cut in squares when nearly cold. Mrs. J.M. Novin, Stoneboro, PA.
