1 cup sugar
2 cup raisins
1 cup lard *
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 single pinch of salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)

* The original recipe calls for Lard. I don't know if shortening will work or not.
